Job Description

The People & Culture Business Partner plays a key role in supporting organisational performance through the delivery of high-quality people solutions, workforce initiatives and employee relations support. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, the role provides trusted advice and guidance on people matters, supports organisational change and workforce capability initiatives, and contributes to a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture. This is a hands-on role combining strategic partnering with operational delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key selection criteria

Essential skills, experience and attributes

  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources / People & Culture roles
  • Demonstrated generalist HR capability across ER, recruitment, performance and advisory work
  • Experience partnering with managers and influencing stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • High discretion and judgement with sensitive matters
  • Proficient HRIS systems experience, preferably ELMO
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies, cultures and issues affecting Indigenous Australians in business (desirable)
  • Understanding of the Indigenous business sector, and previous experience working on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander issues/projects (desirable)
  • Experience working within or with not-for-profit, Indigenous mission led organisations (desirable)
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams (desirable)
  • WHS / wellbeing exposure (desirable)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, business, psychology or related discipline
  • Ability to attend after-hours meetings and/or events as required
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and across geographies as interstate travel may be required
  • Satisfactory National Police Check required
